Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings and Variables

why we don't use ls?

as i see earlier in first video of that course that we use ls after javac Introductions but in this why we don't use that and please specify the purpose of ls

1 Answer

The purpose of leaving 'ls' out is likely up to the teacher. It would also be redundant to do. There isn't really a reason to use 'ls' unless you really wanted to make sure that java has created your .class file. But when you run 'java,' the virtual machine would tell you that there is no .class file if one wasn't made..I hope this makes sense.
