Why the second part of the exercise doesn't work in this way?

It looks like your second assignment is reversed.

Remember the term on the right side (:point_right:) of the equal sign is where the value is coming from, and the term on the left side (:point_left:) of the equal sign is where you want to put that value.

Also remember that getElementsByTagName returns a collection, so to get to the properties of a single element of that collection you would have to select it using an index first. You could also use a different function that returns just a single elemlent if you prefer. And remember, that a element also happens to have a unique id of link that might be handy.
