JavaScript JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects Simplify Repetitive Tasks with Loops Create a `do...while` loop

Where does the var secret method go!?!? The hint tells me to put it inside and outside the do/while loop!?!?

var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?"); while ( secret !== "sesame" ) { secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
} document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

The question is asking me to rewrite the code above as a do/while loop and I am stuck. Please help.

script.js
var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
while ( secret !== "sesame" ) {
  secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
}
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

Hi Chris Reich , I’m pretty sure the code challenge is asking you to use a do while loop which is like this:

do {
     //some code
} while (//some condition);

For you it would look like this:

var secret;
do {
     secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
} while (secret !== "sesame");

document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

Also, you are using strange quotation marks which are causing a parse error.

Hi Chris, I hope this helps.

/* Don't forget your variable "var" */

do {
    code block to be executed
}
while (condition);
var secret;
do {
      secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
} while ( secret !== "sesame" ) {

}
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

got it, thanks.
