ugh I can't figure out what I am doing wrong... I keep getting a space in the front of my result

I can't figure out what I'm doing to include a space at the start of my result

contacts = re.search(r"(?P<email>\w?\w?\w?\w?\w?\w?\w?.?\w+@\w*.\w*.\w*), (?P<phone>\d\d\d-\d\d\d-\d\d\d\d+)", string )
twitters  = re.search(r"^\+@ | (@\w*)", string, re.MULTILINE)

It seems you're starting your regex from the beginning of the string with ^ and giving it an extra space with +

Here is a working version for getting the Twitter accounts:

twitters = re.search(r'(@[\w]+)$', string, re.MULTILINE)

This will select all characters after @ until the end of the string ($).

Also, if you want a different version of contacts that gets the emails, try this regex:

contacts = re.search(r'(?P<email>[\w+]+@[\w+.]+), (?P<phone>\d{3}-\d{3}-\d{4})', string)

I understand how frustrating this section can get especially with how specific the characters and pattern matching can get.

Good luck!
