Trying to add focus to text fields.

Need to add focus states to text fields in css.

It sounds to me like you're looking for the HTML 'autofocus' attribute.

<input type='text' autofocus>

This is what they said... Also, you have not included focus states in the CSS for your text fields. Once you fix those, you will be good to go in this category!

Hey charlie alton I'm not sure which challenge you're on but it sounds like you'll need to use the focus selector. You can get more practice with pseudoclasses and selectors by reviewing this unit

Is it that you're looking to declare focus in your styles? As an example;

a {
    color: red;
}

a:focus {
    color: blue;
}
