Should users who don't have a Mac use a different website for the online Swift playground?

How's it going guys?

Right now I'm taking the Swift course. Once this course gets to its later stages you eventually need to have a Mac, so you can run the code in your Mac. I don't have a Mac yet, so I have to run my code on the internet.

When I go to the website where I can run Swift code, the website says "we are deprecating the website."

What does this mean? Does this mean that they are going to shut down the website or does it just mean that they are updating it?

This is the link to the site: https://swift.sandbox.bluemix.net/restricted#/repl

By the way, my reason for asking is this: The website is not behaving as it normally does. Usually when I type my code, it shows me my results right away, because the website is trying to imitate a "REPL." However, now that is says "deprecating", it doesn't show the results.

Why does that matter? Well I mention it because it not working takes away slightly from my user experience with the Treehouse course. I was wondering, if they are going to get rid of this website would Treehouse recommend another online Swift playground for us users who don't yet have a Mac?

Thank you guys :) Have a nice day

Hi Liam,

This would be a question you should direct to the owners of that website, as only they would know what the intentions and the future holds for their site. I don't know which site you are referring to, but "deprecated" doesn't usually mean "updating". I would contact the site.

Thank you for your answer Jason.

I updated my post to make it a bit more clear. I realize that I forgot a few things, like the link to the website lol.

So that website is recommended in the Swift course for users who don't yet have a Mac. I was wondering, if they're going to take down that site, would Treehouse recommend another Swift online playground? I tried finding one with that "REPL" feature that prints out results right way, but I couldn't find one.

Thanks man, here's the link. I got this link from the video notes from the very first video in the IOS track. Link: https://swift.sandbox.bluemix.net/restricted#/repl
