16,601 PointsQuestions about FTP
Hello everyone,
So here are the issues that I am having. I purchased a domain name and web hosting through webhostingforstudents.com back in July. This domain name was to be used for a WordPress site. At the time I was successfully able to go through the WordPress installation and FTP process.
Last week a purchased another domain name, to be used for a WordPress site, through my webhostingforstudents.com account. So my first question is, when I purchased my second domain, is it automatically hosted by webhostingforstudents.com? Do I need to go through The FTP process again?
I assumed that I did, so I tried to FTP files for my new site. I am using Filezilla to do this but I keep getting this error message.
Status: Resolving address of jordanpierre.me Status: Connecting to 37.60.227.209:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Status: Initializing TLS... Status: Verifying certificate... Status: TLS connection established. Command: USER JordanP Response: 331 User JordanP OK. Password required Command: PASS *********** Response: 530 Login authentication failed Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server
I am really lost and don't know where to start. Can someone please help.
Thank you

Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsDid you get an email with your login details for either account?
If not I'd contact support for web hosting for students to advise on the correct information but I would imagine you'll need separate details for each domain. :-)

16,601 PointsThank you Jonathan,
I did get an email with login details for the first account. I went into cPanel and did an Add On for the second domain. I'm still not %100 sure that that is the only step I need to get the second domain online.
Thank you for your help.
