HTML How to Make a Website Adding Pages to a Website Add a New Page

My portfolio link doesn't won't

Hi

I'm at the stage of creating my about.html file and linking it to my listed item 'About' in my index.html file and this part works fine however i noticed that clicking on 'Portfolio' takes me to a 'Not Found' page which i find puzzling seeing as when i click back twice in my browser i'm back at my portfolio page i'm not sure where I've gone wrong

Thanks

File names are case sensitive. Your problem then is that your index file is named "Index.html" with a capital 'I'

When you're on your about page and you click on the "portfolio" link your browser is looking for "index.html" but you only have "Index.html"

For this reason, I recommend the consistent use of lower case when naming your files all well as the links you have in your html and css.

"Index.html" should be renamed to "index.html"

Also on both of your pages you should change the link to the contact page to be "contact.html", not "Contact.html" Otherwise, this will potentially cause you similar problems when you create the contact page.

Thanks Jason it works perfect now.
