Looking for advice, tips in developing a simulation game

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for some advice in order to build a simulation/management game. I'm looking to build a game like FIFA Manager but with a different topic. So basically it would be a 2D game like FIFA Manager with dashboard, calendar, and a lot of other stuff...

I am currently taking the Game Development Track here on treehouse and I want to mention that I won't be working alone on this project.

So, does anybody have some tips? What should I focus myself on? What should I be prepared for, difficulties? And most important... does anybody know some courses which focuses on this kind of games?

Thanks in advance.

I'm also fairly new to Unity3D (but, of course loving it!) in terms of the coding part (C#, mainly).

However, I do know that the Asset Store is a very useful place to look for Assets, Scripts, 2D Physics stuff, graphics, audio, particle systems, etc.

I would recommend taking a nice deep look in there

Maybe you should also explore the website in general. I found that also looking in the well-made Unity documentation & manual is very useful as well.
