How do i fix this? treehouse:~/workspace$ javac Introductions.java
Introductions.java:9: error: <identifier> expected
} console.printf("Patrick is learning how to write java");

Hey Peter!

Without seeing your code, its much harder to pinpoint the exact issue. We all love to help in the forum but if you just copy and paste your code in the question, it makes everyones lives just that much more awesome.

anyway below is the code that worked! Maybe you didn't use %s in your console.printf()?

// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console

String firstName = "Just here for more practice but my name is David";

console.printf("%s can code in Java!", firstName);

Looks like you have a } in your code, you don't need it.
