15,622 PointsWell, it's certainly safer than NOT updating it.
Back up your database and theme files first, and there's really no risk. (except of losing service temporarily).

12,197 PointsI don't know how to backup site. My friend who runs one Wordpress site asks me for this but I don't want to make some mistakes.
Some link to backup all or short explanation? Thanks in advance!

15,622 PointsWell, there are multiple plugins for backing up the database. The problem is you usually need cPanel access to restore the backup, so if the update does mess up you'll be out of luck.
Is it on Wordpress.com or similar or do you have hosting? Can you get cPanel and FTP access?
Ivan Kusakovic
12,197 PointsNo for now. I knew it that I must own cPanel to backup files. Is it possible to just copy all files from root folder from cPanel and later restore it? Nothing. I will check with friend for cPanel infos and then I will ask.
Thanks
