ios tech degree with it even though

...It doesn't teach the lattest versions of swift and ios?

It might not be the exact current version of XCode and swift, but a lot of the concepts are conceptually the same. If you are interested, you should still go down this tech path, but pay very close attention to teacher notes and question-answers in each video as some stuff may be deprecated or changed based on the latest trends. If im paying for a tech degree, shouldnt i expect the most updated material possible?

Treehouse updates the material as best they can, but even if you had the latest and greatest, there are still basic concepts that you still need to learn in order to be successful. You are learning the building blocks of iOS and Swift. You can think of it like being a mechanic - You don't need to have the latest and greatest car to become a mechanic, you need to learn what an engine is, how it works because it doesn't matter if you are working on a new or older car, an engine is still an engine. Don't get caught up with having the "latest and greatest" material because data types, the overall process of building apps, memory management, using APIs is still the same. Build these skills then when you actually build something, then you can figure out how to work with the current syntax. Swift has gone through a lot of changes in the past 3 years and there may be changes in the future. Start with the basics.
