IntelliJ syntax highlighting/errors for Java not working

I cloned the repo and started looking through it. The app works, but the syntax highlighting/error checking in IntelliJ is off. See linked screenshot: Imgur

It doesn't think there's such a thing as a Long so there some setting that I must be missing.`

This kind of error usually appear with a wrong Gradle settings. Did it complete the build?
