Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Creating the Screen Layout Setting Colors

i typed in android:textColor and pasted the given id for white but i still receive error messages

i looked back at the code on android studio and saw that it was placed after font size so i placed the id for the color after the font size yet it still gave me the error messages

Hey, this happens to the best of us lol..

You spelled textColor wrong. it's not texColor BUT texTColor. Missed the t.

This works for me. Now, you are getting another error so the only difference between mine and yours for challenge 1. Should be nothing. Now challenge 2 wants to change the background color of the whole RelativeLayout to a dark pink. Use the code #fff092b0.

You for some reasons have black in there? I don't know what that is for, but the background color when being set with a hex is done like this.

Challenge 2

android:background="#fff092b0" >

Challenge 1

<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
  android:layout_width="match_parent"
  android:layout_height="match_parent"
  android:background="@android:color/white" >

  <TextView
    android:id="@+id/textView1"
    android:layout_width="wrap_content"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
    android:layout_centerVertical="true"
    android:text="Treehouse loves me!"
    android:textColor="@android:color/white"
    android:textSize="72sp" />

</RelativeLayout>
