i have no clue what im doing

i am trying to figure out how to do just this simple task but i have no idea how. please help

You already have a styles.css file, so all you need to do is declare your selection (h1) and declare a property/value (color: purple). It would look like this:

styles.css

h1 { color: purple; }

Thank you. The problem I was having was trying to figure out how to declare the h1 tag. I have no experience programming so like I said. Before the help is much appreciated.
