I don't know what hyperlink to connect to when the directions are just asking to link to cakes.html, pies.html, etc..

I wonder if I'm supposed to type https://www.cakes.html not too sure

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>
  <body>
 <ul>
   <li>< a href="www.cakes.html">Cakes</a></li>
   <li>< a href="www.pies.html">Pies</a></li>
   <li>< a href="www.candy.html">Candy</a></li>

Hey!

Starting the link with a www. causes the link to become an absolute link, meaning when you click the link, it will redirect you to http://www.cake.html. This isn't what you want. You want a relative link, meaning that if you are on http://mysite.com and you click the link, you are redirected to http://mysite.com/cake.html. This can be achieved by just simply doing cake.html.

For example:

<a href="cake.html">Cakes</a>

Also, you need to make sure that there is not a space between the < and the a.

Hope this helps! If not, feel free to leave a comment below and I'll try to clear the issue up.
