To create an instance, you call your class like a function.

But you'll also need to fix your assignment of name — it should contain a string with your name in it.

You won't be creating a function for this challenge, but when you do create one, you use the "def" keyword. Have you already had the Python Basics course? If not, you might want to pause this one and go take that one first.

You've got the class, so to create an instance, use something like:

a_student_instance = Student()

Pass in any required parameters inside the parentheses.

I got ahead of myself - there's no need for parameters here; you set the name attribute inside the class itself.
