JavaScript Node.js Basics 2017 Handling Errors in Node Handling the Error Event in Node

Error not thrown even in error state

Hi, I'm following along to the video in my own workspace and for some reason, even after changing the request url to

https://wwwteamtreehouse.com

with a missing "." after the subdomain, the request still runs. I'm on a Linux bash terminal and after typing

node app.js

it just jumps to a blank line. I wonder why?

Hi,

Can you post your code here perhaps I can help you out when I see it.

Nevermind, figured it out.

Matthew Conrad hey did you find the solution how do you fix it? I have the same issue.. It doesn't show error message when put this

request.on('error', err => console.error(err.message));
