Display image with node.js in html tag <img src = "./public/images/.....">

I am not able to display an image in the html as done in the tutorials. The images are located in a separate folder on the server where also app.js is located..

I have read online that it can be solved with express or node-static.

Is there any way to solve this issue with "pure" node.js ?

Thanks for the help.
