Can WordPress.com be used for the Treehouse courses?

Can WordPress.com be used for the courses on Treehouse, or is WordPress.org required? Aside from losing some functionality on .com, is there be much difference between them?

Not most of them since your limited to the amount of customization you can do on wordpress.com . Wordpress.org is much more unlimited in what you can do and control.
