Hi everyone,
I am planning to build a site using WP. It will only sell one book. My question si how to set up the Payment Gateway. Based on my research I planned to use Woocommerce (theme) along with Mijireh. I figure I use Mijireh bc it is PCI Compliance PLUS I don't have to deal with storing payment info and all that stuff.
Has anyone know how to set this up?? Also, anyone has any experience or advice?
Since it is only one book i hope it won't be too complicated.
Thanks! Cliff

1,574 PointsHi Cliff,
Woocommerce is a great option for setting up an e-commerce store via WordPress, as I am currently using it for my online store.
In addition to giving you the option to sell physical products (the book), Woocommerce also provides the option to seel sell digital products (a downloadable version of the book, for example).
For a taking payments online, you'll need:
- A Credit Card processor, like Authorize.net or Paypal. I use them. The are a solid, reputable provider.
- To integrate your payment gateway with Woocommerce, which isn't very complicated using Woocommerce addons. Some are free, some you'll need to pay for. Woocommerce comes with a free gateway integration addon called Simplify Commerce. Do some research on it. Could work for you.
- A business checking account to hookup to your payment gateway so that customer's money funnels into your funds, and you can access them. No further explanation needed. :)
- An SSL certificate so that you can take payments securely. May not be required, but highly suggested.
Lastly, I suggest using GoDaddy for a hosting provider. They are rock solid. Check out their Managed Wordpress solutions. Godaddy + Wordpress + Woocommerce + Paypal or Authorize.net + a payment gateway integration addon should get you where you need to be.
Best of luck. Hope this helps.
