Aliases when and why

Im not seeing the rational of using an alias here. (besides for teaching of course)

Wouldn't it be better to just name the people table directors instead?

In earlier videos in the course you can see that, since both directors and actors will have first name and last name properties, the tables were consolidated in to one 'People' table. This means that some people are actors and some people are directors (and some both, of course).
