7,596 PointsYou don't need to add continue in the loop!
This code works fine without the continue statement in the loop:
shopping_list = []
def print_help():
print("""
Enter 'DONE' to stop entering items.
Enter 'SHOW' to list items.
Enter 'HELP' to display help.
""")
def print_list(lst):
for item in lst:
print(item)
print('What should we pick up at the store?')
print("Enter 'DONE' to stop adding items.")
while True:
new_item = input("> ")
if new_item == 'DONE':
break
elif new_item == 'SHOW':
print_list(shopping_list)
elif new_item == 'HELP':
print_help()
else:
shopping_list.append(new_item)
print("Here's your list:")
print_list(shopping_list)
Continue is the default when we use if/elseif/else in this manner.
