Would it not be less hassle to just start from scratch?

As a beginner with Genesis, I'm finding it very difficult to follow what's going on here. It seems that to convert a theme to Genesis, you really need to know all the classes inside out.

Maybe I'm just not getting this course, but wouldn't it be cleaner and easier to start with a Genesis theme that is similar in layout to this template, and just integrate the design?

Learn PHP, build some websites with it , start from scratch with WP and then comeback here. I wen fluid throw it, i didn't finish, but i did get the point what hes doing.

And its better to learn pure coding before using any framework. You need to understand how it works. It will be difficult, so re-watch it and learn the concepts.

Hi Konrad. Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify: I didn't mean start the site completely from scratch. What I'm suggesting is that maybe instead of taking an existing non-Genesis template, and trying to convert it to a Genesis template, that it might just be less hassle to start with an existing Genesis template and create the design as if we were given a bespoke design directly from a designer.

Ah well, I agree. They could improve few things but that was one year ago i think. Treehouse its getting only better now as i look at new courses but they shold update the old ones ;/
