HTML Treehouse Club: HTML Publish a Story Introduction to Workspaces

Workspace Issues

Hi all,

New to programming and i'm running into some issues. I just started the HTML course and finally get to mess with some code, but Workspace isn't cooperating. I understand that i need to save my work before i can preview it, but the only work i can see is the example. I can even erase all the code, save it, and it will still launch the example. Can anybody help?

Hi Chris,

I have had a couple issues with workspaces myself today which is odd, I was blaming a poor internet connection. It has been very slow which it is not normally and the save function has been a little buggy.

I have also come across a few issues when doing code challenges so im thinking there is something going on.

To make sure the right people here your experience can you send an email to help@teamtreehouse.com and let them know what is going on.

Occasionally I have issues with Workspace as well. One work-around I've used is to close out the window opened by Workspace as well as the browser tab, reopen the Workspace window and the browser tab with the 'eye' icon, and refresh the page (even though it was just launched). That has helped out a few times.

Another work around is to copy and paste your work into a text editor and launch it from there. Notepad will do, but I like using Notepad++ because it's specifically used for writing code. It's free and can be downloaded at https://notepad-plus-plus.org/
