Hi, very close. Looks like you have a rogue 'index' that if removed will solve your problem. Ah, helps to read the challenge. You need to use the 'counter' to get the value from the 'numbers' array.

let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0
