It can, and its become a big part of my workflow in recent weeks,

There are some great videos on Treehouse that teach you all about this and there's more than one way to run Wordpress on Local host. This course goes into depth on Local Wordpress Development.

Thanks Jonathan! :)

Jonathan, is it better to first listen up to course about setting local enviroment because I set up wordpress site already: http://www.ivankusakovic.com I want to follow basic course on Wordpress on Treehouse with clean system.

It is, but you can do this before your next wordpress project, even if you're just practising with an installation you'er not going to put on the web.

I was able to follow the course via the Wordpress Development Track so i could practice and then run a project from it.

The course won't just teach you running a local installation but also how to set it up so the Database will work on your web server. :)

Ok, so Wordpress development track is what you recommened?

And before that to take another look first at more HTML, CSS and Javascript courses or Wordpress is independent?

Actually it's best that you hone your skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and next PHP as currently Wordpress is built around the PHP language.

It's a great course in the Wordpress Development Track called PHP for Wordpress that takes a high level look at how Wordpress uses PHP but the more you know about PHP the better.

Ok, thanks Jonathan! I really appreciate your help. All the best!
