2,949 PointsWhy the switch from @small orange to webhostingforstudents, Quality matter?
As I am looking at affordable hosting yet good uptime and backup? I am curious as to why Treehouse switched? Financially @smallorange makes more sense, quality wise ... is the new provider better? Many thanks!

I'm a ASO client for about 2ys. They have some well known characteristics that you will find quite often on the web if you make a research on the topic.
I will highlight the support (rocks), scalability (price), and it's intuitive set-up. Even to guide your client around their interface that's handy. And my clients speak Portuguese, for cPanel that's about a click.
I'm not getting a single coin to type it.
I did not was aware that Treehouse had this relationship with ASO, but I found some posts after I saw your question here - for example. They are like one year old (average).

Courses Plus Student 11,734 PointsHey,
I know that the founder of Webhostingforstudents either used to, or still does work for Treehouse.
I don't know if this is the only reason, but it makes sense.
I personally like A Small Orange, but I have also used WHFS and they are also reliable.

2,949 PointsHi John, thanks for that, for sure that makes a lot of sense.
Have you any idea as to quality comparison? I know only of hostgator and hearsay of more expensive ones.
Am going full force through the training, topnotch I must say, will be setting up a portfolio site, personal art site and a client sitebuilding domain, hence the three from webhostingforstudents may suffice, just wondering on quality and such. cheers again Roger

11,985 PointsYou do not need to feel like this. You are certainly not forced to use a specific hosting company. You can follow the training from whatever hosting provider you prefer.

2,949 PointsThanks John and Fabio,
Both very useful, I reckon a decision will be easily made now.
@Fabio, would the additional yearly site backup plan be a good idea, have never worked with such, just thinking it may be wise, what with all the hacking going around.
