Hey Łukasz, this article explains the difference between rem and em and when each is appropriate: https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/tutorials/comprehensive-guide-when-to-use-em-vs-rem--cms-23984. Simply put:

  • Use em when you need the value to be relative to the element's font-size value.
  • Use rem when you want the value to be relative to the font-size set at the root of the document, or the html element.
