11,364 PointsYou are so close. Try to simplify your code a bit.
import datetime
def minutes(dt1, dt2):
#the first gets subtracted from the second
diff = dt2 - dt1
#need to access the seconds of the difference time delta
ans = round(diff.total_seconds()/60)
return ans
You can just subtract the two known datetime's to get back the difference between the two. Then round the difference.total_seconds()
