Why is the result from the workspaces correct, the code is not passing on the challenge

I am getting " Hmm, got some vowels back!"

def disemvowel(word):
    vowels = list("aeiou")

    for letter in word:
        if letter in vowels:
            word = list(word)
            word.remove(letter)
            word = ''.join(word)

    return word

print(disemvowel("facetiously"))
print(disemvowel("the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"))

output is: "fctsly" and "th qck brwn fx jmps vr th lzy dg"
