I'm returning NAN...not really getting it

var numOfDivs = 10;
parseInt(width);
var totalWidth = numOfDivs * width;

Try putting the parseInt(width) in the assignment to your totalWidth variable, like so:
var width = '190px';
var numOfDivs = 10;
var totalWidth = parseInt(width) * numOfDivs;

It looks like your first two lines are correct but there is an error in your last two lines.
parseInt(width); should be part of the totalWidth variable.
