It looks like you've used

<a herf

instead of:

<a href

Lots of people says that. You know what? You missed something and it doesn't if it don't work , since HTML outdated, i don't think so. You should post the answer and we can tell you whats wrong.

Please post your code always.

The tag should read "a href" rather than "a herf"
