The code is working (nothing is broken) but you only have the second box-shadow.

Without the comma, you are overwriting the first one when you declare the second (cascading styles). You want to have a box-shadow with both outset and inset which is done by combining the two with a comma.

I've been trying that same solution on the code challenge. I'm sure it's correct but my challenge isn't letting it pass. Very odd. :-)

You should remove the second 'box-shadow' and replace the preceding semicolon with a comma, like so: 

.main-header{
  box-shadow: ---;
}

Because you use a comma in between multiple changes of the same property, in this case the box-shadow. The way you have it, the second line of box shadow is (or should be) overwriting the first. The first line of box shadow in this code is very subtle, so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't registering and you didn't notice.
