Why is adding a color stop value making task 3 fail?

Whenever I add the bottom to top instruction and the 90% color stop value, I am told that task 3 no longer passes. Task 3 was simply to state the color's required. I have not changed these.

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
.main-header {
background-image: linear-gradient(steelblue, darkslateblue 90%, bottom to top);
}
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lake Tahoe</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="page.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
  </head>
  <body>
    <header id="top" class="main-header">
      <span class="title">Journey Through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
      <h1 class="main-heading">Lake Tahoe, California</h1>
    </header>

        <div class="primary-content">
            <p class="intro">
                Lake Tahoe is one of the most breathtaking attractions located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
            </p>
            <a class="callout" href="#more">Find out more</a>
        </div><!-- End .primary-content -->
  </body>
</html>

Hi Amy,

You're on the right track. First, that error that "Task # -- is no longer passing" is a very misleading and inaccurate error. It always means that you have introduced a syntax error in the current task, not any previous tasks. (Just for future reference), so always resist the urge to click the "Go To Task ?" button. :)

Anyway, here everything is correct, except for the rule for the direction of the gradient (both the key words and where you have it). To go to top, that's the key word ... not bottom to top. Next is that designation needs to be first in the parameter list. So, you just need to delete "bottom" (and the comma) and move it to the front like so:

background-image: linear-gradient(to top, steelblue, darkslateblue 90%);

Good job and Keep Coding! :) :dizzy:
