Why is AddDays() an instance method? It appears to be called from the DateTime class, so shouldn't that mean its static?

The next question asks about the DaysInMonth() method, which is also in the DateTime class, and that says its a static method. I don't understand what makes the two different.

An instance method has to be accessed using an instance of the class: "MyObject.instancemethod()".

But a static method is accessed using the class itself: "SomeClass.staticmethod(args)".
