You've got it wrong here:

$('li').eq(2).prev('li').prev('li');

instead, you've got to do this:

$('li').eq(2).prev().prev();

The reason is quite simple. the * prev() * method can be both a getter and a setter. ( if you are not familiar with these terms, don't worry, they're explained in the jquery basics course ).

Here, the question asks to get the grand-parent of the list element. That means, no string needs to be passed in the prev() method to set anything. Rather you need to get the element. So you pass nothing as arguments.
