why .format doesnt work here?

title

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our availabe flavors are: {}.".format(sundaes)

You still have sundaes as a list. you need to convert it to a string by having a ", " between each item. In order to do so you need to use the .join() method.

In order to convert the list a string use this code:

 " ,".join(sundaes)

In order to do the task in one line you can use:

menu = "Our availabe flavors are: {}.".format( " ,".join(sundaes))
