28,694 Points== is fine for primitive data types. For object (like strings), it will test that the object refer to the same memory location ie they are literally the same object. String defines a .equals method to make a more meaningful comparison.
(string optimizes by reusing objects, which makes == seem to work sometimes. but it can't be relied upon as there are circumstances - dynamic strings - where == won't work)
