56,413 PointsYou can only use this
if the object is a Context, or sub-class of Context. The sub-classes you'd use in writing Android apps are top-level things: Activity, Application, and Service, as well as sub-classed variations on those. Other common Android components like Fragments and ListAdapters aren't sub-classes of Context. You either need to pass it a Context or use a getContext()/getActivity() method if the class has one (like Fragment).
