Why did not use float properties?

I think float an clear properties are designed for two column layers. Why the video did not suggest use these two?

Hey susan kaldenberg - That is a great question! You will find many solutions to the same problem as you journey through frontend development. Some work better than others, some are easier, and some are just personal preference. The way Anwar decided to do it in this video was a pretty interesting approach and offers some new perspective on laying out content. Soon you'll learn some really awesome, easier ways to tackle content structure.

I challenge you to, if you haven't already, try laying out your two-column layout with floats instead and see what you find. Was it harder? Was it easier? Did it introduce some weird bugs? Trial and error is the best way to learn! :smile:
