Which Illustrator Course?

I'm trying to decide which course to take for learning Illustrator, Adobe Illustrator for Web Design or Illustrator Foundations or both.

My overall goal is to be designing and coding Ecommerce sites. I don't necessarily plan on becoming an Illustrator expert but basically want to expand my toolset for when I need to work with vector graphics. I'll generally outsource advanced graphics work but want to be comfortable doing the basic stuff myself.

How would you compare these two courses and which one should I take (or if both which one first)?

Thanks Richard. I should have specified that I already have quite a bit of experience with managing and directing the design of Ecommerce sites, but working on expanding my personal skillsets at the moment.

I'm not necessarily wanting to invest the time into both courses, given that I'm just looking at becoming more comfortable at the basics but by no mean expert in Illustrator, so looking for a comparison of the two courses.

Hey Josh,

There is no harm in taking both. You may find that some things overlap and it will give you more information. If you want to expand your toolset, try using various graphics editors. If you want to design websites and you are on a MAC try Sketch www.sketchapp.com or there is a new product coming on the market soon called Project Comet by Adobe: http://landing.adobe.com/en/na/products/creative-cloud/comet/229818-notifyme.html . What I really recommend when first designing a website it to get a piece of paper and a pencil and jot down what your website needs and then sketch out a rough outline on paper of a few ideas and then move into an editor. I hope this helps.
