Android Android Lists and Adapters (2015) Lists with RecyclerViews Using a Layout Manager

Where was the RecylcerView's padding set?

You said not to worry about the side padding, because we will take care of it in the RecyclerView. The padding seems to be appropriate, but I don't recall setting it. Does RecyclerView have default padding? If so what is that value and where in the documentation can I find it?
