Where is my syntax error in this example?

def hello_student(name) 
    return 'Hello' + name 


hello_student('John')

You forgot the colon at the end of the "def" line.

You'll also need to add a space at the end of the string literal.

And for the challenge, you only need to define the function, you don't need to call it.
