Where does const come from???

Hi,

I'd like to know where does const come from? What is it? A variable??? It's the first time I heard about it!!! Is there a lesson where some teacher spoke about it?? Thanks

Don't you think these courses are a little bit bad structured? "JavaScript and the Dom" is a beginner course while "Introducing ES2015" is an intermediate course. I think that to understand the variable CONST i would not have to jump to an intermediate course to learn about it and then jump back to a beginner course, don't you think??

For now, you can just think "const" is another key word like "var". Then continue to learn the following sections for this course. :)
