Where do I insert the upper case method?

Challenge Task 3: I'm stuck on where I need to insert ( role.toUpperCase() ) though I may even have that wrong.

let firstName = "Cody";
let lastName = "Knox";
let role = 'developer';
let msg = firstName + " " + lastName + ": " + role( role.toUpperCase() );

You're really close, but you have "role" there twice, and one time as function call (but it's not a function).

let msg = firstName + " " + lastName + ": " + role.toUpperCase();

Cody, The syntax for applying the toUpperCase method to a string is as follows: str.toUpperCase() where str represents the string whose value you are converting to upper case.

So you'll just need to update your last line of code to the following:

let msg = firstName + " " + lastName + ": " + role.toUpperCase();
