Whenever i check this code, it comes up with a syntax error:parse error, but i checked over and over and couldnt find it

Im not sure what a parse error, i asked a few people that are better than me at this, and no one could find anything to solve this, i even looked online and also couldnt find anything

This is because with the final block of a if statement you can't check anything specific - it is like a catch for all the other alternatives.

var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else {
  alert("Who are you?")
}
