When I complete the second task for this challenge, it says the first task no longer passing.

How can I resolve this?

Be mindful as well of the spacing when referencing file names in your script tags.

<script src = "script. js."> </script>

should be

<script src="script.js"></script>

Inside the script tags, write a function that will open an alert dialog with the message 'Warning!'

you do not need to link to a new JS file, also you need to mind your spacing, ie. alert(), not alert ().

Hi, you don't need to link a javascript file for this challenge. One set of script tags, with the alert between will do the trick. Happy coding.
