Android Android Activity Lifecycle The Activity Lifecycle Saving Instance State

What this method does?

Hi, what exactly this method does?

 @Override
    protected void onSaveInstanceState(Bundle outState) {
        super.onSaveInstanceState(outState);

        outState.putString(KEY_FACT, mFact);
        outState.putInt(KEY_COLOR, mColor);

this method saves the state of the activity using key-value pairs (Bundle) to maintain persistence eg when you rotate screen. you can retrieve the values using getString(KEY) and getInt(KEY) methods on a bundle you get in onCreate(...) method;
