6,784 PointsWhat makes an element a child in XML?
The code challenge keeps telling me to "Make sure you add a 'gradient' element as a child of the 'shape' element!" I am not sure what is wrong with my code even after comparing it to my project.
<shape xmlns="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:shape = "rectangle">
<gradient
android:startColor="#102372"
android:endColor="#ffffff"/>
</shape>

40,533 PointsYou do have gradient as a child of shape (since it's nested). The problem is with the namespace definition. It needs to specify android as the namespace:
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
The first test doesn't seem to catch this for whatever reason.
